Good idea,but not finished

Idea is great, for real bird lovers, but app should be professional, for people like me and many others, this is not enough, every bird should have picture(male, female, youth, nest, eggs) and more description,of course more song.My opinion is that pictures must be from nest, eggs and all the way up,that is MUST.Make it professional app,i think that world need something like that.Waiting for future update!

More Birds

Great graphics, Good sounds. Great photography. But not a lot of our local birds such as American robin. Baltimore oriole, bald eagle, red headed woodpecker, bluebird, finch, sparrow, redwing blackbird, morning dove, mocking bird, etc. These are the birds in and around my yard. Would like to see more of these birds instead of birds from Africa, Asia & Europe. Other than that, great app.

Need more popular North America birds.....

I agree...not alot of local North American birds....I could not find the Cardinal, Painted Bunting or Blue Jay. If I had known I would not have purchased....this was meant as a teaching tool for my daughter.

Beware before you buy

Dont waste your money. This application doesnt even have hawks or other common birds that you may find interesting and not so rare. I was not pleased after spending the money to find out that this application lacked even the most common birds found in the Northeast.

Great App.

Those who are looking for some common birds - they in the app are named by their real name, for example, the sparrow is called House Sparrow and no just Sparrow, because there are many Sparrow species... @loretta There are also Hawks in this app - for example Goshawk...

Very Good Bird App

Ive been looking for a nice app to look up birds, and this is a pretty nice app. Although it seems most of the birds listed are located in Europe, and some listed in North America. Each bird has a little gallery of pictures, information on their characteristics, appearances, breeding statistics, habitat, sound clips of their voices, a bit of trivia, and a link to wikipedia in case you want to know more about the bird in question. The pictures and the app are beautiful in HD. The app has this nice black leather border that makes it seem like your leafing through some sort of fancy bird book. You can sort the collection of birds by habitat, size, feather colors, beak color/shape, and leg color. Another nice feature is the ability to put a bookmark on your favorite birds in order to access their information quickly, in the off chance you see it in the wild and want a quick reminder about it. You can also keep personal notes for any of the birds, and if you have an internet access (or using an iphone) in the note it tracks where you were located when you made the note. Im assuming if you have an iphone with cellular access, this would be more useful when out bird watching. You have the ability to email the note to yourself, although I havent really tested it out yet. Besides all that, the one thing I love the most is the bird and sound matching quizes. This way I can use the quizes to better remember what each bird looks like and what sounds they make to better identify them in the wild. Overall, I think if you want to do a bit of bird-watching and want something with pictures and sounds, this will probably be right up your alley. I do hope they add more birds to this though. Plus I cant wait to see what else they uppdate this app with. Very fun indeed.

Incomplete

Missing many popular birds. Names not included. No search available. No list of similar birds available. Free bird apps much better.

I downloaded this app thinking it was related to North America.

I dont think I will be using because it doesnt relate to North American bird species.
